NEOPRENE RUBBER
My source for neoprene is Spartan Adhesives. My personal preference for the level of flexibility is the Chicago Latex #521.
Creature Cast Rubber offers a great description of the product. They used to be a source for black neoprene, but unfortunately, they are no longer producing neoprene for casting.

Straps:
3/4″ black elastic. I get it in bulk at Amazon

Rivets: Wide double cap rivets, size small. I use the gunmetal color.

Hole punch:
I love the Crop-a-Dial II
I like the Crop-A-Dial better than a traditional leather punch because it has a toothed punch, cuts better, and stays sharper longer (in my experience). But a traditional leather punch also works.

PAINT
I do one or two primer coats of gesso, either black or white.
I mostly use acrylics to paint. Any brand works, but Golden brand is the professional standard, and they have deeply saturated pigments. Other brands Pro level also work. And for some projects, nothing wrong with the super inexpensive “craft paints” from Michaels, JoAnn or the dollar store.
I have also recently become a big fan of CeraColors–a cold-wax
paint, which creates a beautiful finish that can either be left matte or polished to a shine after a couple of days. If you do want to try CeraColors, it is worth it to check out some of their online tutorials, as they behave a bit differently than acrylic or oils.

It is very easy to work with, non-toxic, and extremely versatile. The do sell through Amazon, but it is worth a visit to the Aves website to browse their full range of materials and educational resources.
ALTERNATIVE MATERIALS—either for additions or for the whole mask base BUCKRAM—Any Millinery supply company. I order single weight/medium weight. I use
WORBLA– There are several suppliers on the internet. I use Wardrobe Supplies or Amazon. I use mostly the original Worbla Finest Art. The black is thinner. I don’t have much experience with the other varieties.
LATEX AND CHEESECLOTH—Any hardware store cheesecloth. I like Monster Makers for latex but there are other options out there.

OTHER MOLDING AND CASTING MATERIALS–
Douglas and Sturgess is a great source for all kinds of molding and casting materials. I use them as a source for Varaform (thermoplastic) mesh (great for understructures with buckram on top) and ProtoPlast (perforated thermoplastic sheets), but this is a website worth exploring.
Reynolds Materials— Another great source for molding and casting supplies, and a wealth of video tutorials on how to use their wide variety products.
